ABOUT THE PROGRAM
GEMSTONE
The University of Maryland's Gemstone program is an honors program which facilitates the research of undergraduate students. These select students form research teams to pursue the object of their multidisciplinary studies for the next four years. Additionally, the teams are aided by the University of Maryland's staff as mentors.
Team UNITED
Team UNITED's research is rooted in the social sciences allowing for investigation into the social and civil implications of research. Each team member offers a different perspective into the social conditions that affect our communities, which not only strengthens the team but the depth of our research endeavors.
